Texas Democratic Women of Central Texas is proud to host the 2022 Richards-Jackson Dinner on September 10th at the Anthem Stories Building located at 800 Austin Avenue, Waco, Texas.

Celebrating Strong Women

Governor Ann Richards and Mayor Mae Jackson were two strong women who made their mark on Waco, on Texas, and on the entire country.  These strong ladies created a foot path in leadership for today’s strong women to build into a superhighway for our future.  We will also hear from Nancy Thompson, the founder of “Mothers Against Greg Abbott” started a movement with MAGA you can get behind.

In addition to hearing from friends of these inspirational women, our featured speaker will be Nancy Thompson, the founder of "Women Against Greg Abbott", a MAGA you can get behind!

The evening will begin with a Cash Bar Happy Hour and Candidate Meet & Greet from 6:00 to 7:00 pm

Dinner Service will begin at 7:30 pm.

Back in Waco!

This is another big week for the Democrats in McLennan County!
 
MCDP Lunch - This Thursday, 11 August at 11:30, Uncle Dan's, Lake Air Drive -  Meet at Uncle Dan's for lunch.  We will talk about upcoming events and projects.  Candidates who attend will be invited to speak.  Come on out to learn what is ahead as we get ready for the final push. 
 
Also on Thursday, at 6pm, Drinking Liberally will have their weekly get together at Hemingway's Watering Hole, 4700 Bosque Blvd. Come out and relax and enjoy Democratic conversation.
 
Central Texas Rural Summitt, Saturday, 13 August, 10am-4pm at University High School -  This is the major event of the week.  Join leaders and activists from across Central Texas and members of the public for Texas Democratic staff presentations concerning GOTV activities, VAN, voter registration and voter protection.   You will hear from some of our top ballot candidates such as:
 
Lt. Gov, Mike Collier
Comptroller, Janet Dudding
Agriculture Commissioner, Susan Hays
Land Commissioner, Jay Kleberg
State Board of Education, Tracy Fisher  
We hope to have:

Texas Democratic Women of Central Texas, monthly meeting, 20 August, 11:00AM, East Waco Library, Elm Street - The backbone of the MCDP will be discussing action.  Attend and join. 
 
MCDP County Executive Committee Meeting, Monday, 15 August, 6:15PM, Waco Central Library on Austin Ave - Committee Members will be nominating new precinct chairs and discussing status and operations of the party.  CEC members should attend this regularly scheduled meeting on the 3rd Monday of each month.   Non-CEC members and the public are welcome to observe, but may vote or comment.
